Xavier Britain’s China Stars in Netflix’s Black Rabbit with Jude Law and Jason Bateman

On 18th September, Netflix unveiled one of its most talked-about dramas of the year: Black Rabbit. Starring Jude Law and Jason Bateman, the series has already captured audiences with its gripping storyline and shadowy restaurant setting.

And while viewers have been hooked on the drama, we’ve been quietly thrilled by another detail: the bespoke fine bone china on those tables was made by Xavier Britain.

That’s right — while the leads deliver powerhouse performances, our plates, cups and saucers are playing their own (uncredited) role on screen.

Good enough to steal! A member of staff sneaks one of our beautiful plates as a memento of her time at Black Rabbit...[no spoilers!]

Crafting for the camera

The production team needed china that could hold its own under the gaze of the camera — china with elegance, subtlety and presence. Off-the-shelf simply wouldn’t do. Every piece had to look authentic on set, helping to build the world of Black Rabbit without stealing focus.

From the glaze to the silhouette, every decision was deliberate. Because in cinema, as in fine dining, the smallest details tell the biggest stories.

A bespoke process, at speed

Television schedules are famously unforgiving, and Black Rabbit was no exception. From first sketches to finished product, our team had just weeks to deliver. It was all hands on deck — kilns firing late, details checked and rechecked — to make sure everything arrived on set not only on time but flawless.

It was a race against the clock, but one thing never wavered: our commitment to quality. When your china is sharing a scene with Jude Law, there’s simply no room for compromise.

British craftsmanship on a global stage

Now that Black Rabbit is streaming worldwide, we’re proud that our work is part of the atmosphere that viewers can’t stop talking about. The show is dark, stylish and meticulous—and the china had to match.

So, as you stream Black Rabbit on Netflix, watch the stars, follow the story, but don’t forget to glance at the table. That quiet touch of elegance? That’s Xavier Britain.
