This autumn, Xavier Britain is delighted to take part in a new Tottering-by-Gently exhibition at Reindeer Antiques, Kensington, running from 31 October to 22 November 2025.
The exhibition celebrates the world of Annie Tempest’s much-loved Tottering-by-Gently — those wry, affectionate glimpses into English country life that have become a national treasure. Visitors can explore original watercolours, limited prints, and Annie’s latest book, 'Twilight Years with the Totterings' — a perfect companion for anyone who has ever juggled dogs, guests and family chaos with a glass in hand.
A new collection from Xavier Britain
To coincide with the exhibition, Xavier Britain will unveil a new range of Tottering-by-Gently fine bone china mugs, each featuring Annie Tempest’s inimitable characters and observations — Labrador Love, Sleeping Spaniels, The Gardener, Daffy at Rest, The Bottlebank Run and The Grandchildren.
